Bayou Chat User Guide and Information
The Bayou Chat Group is for residents of the Bayou Club Community located in Pinellas County Florida. The group is independent from the Bayou Club Community Association and has had an email group for about 20 years. The primary purpose of the group is to share information of interest to the residents such as recommendations on service vendors such as electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, lawn and pool care, etc. Other posts include personal items for sale such as tickets, treadmills, or announcements about events, lost pets, etc. Below is a link to the list of vendors that Bayou Club residents have recommended over time.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Bayou Club Community Association is currently monitoring recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as those of federal, state, and local officials regarding the global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. It is the goal of the CDC to slow the transmission of the virus in our community and region. BCCA is taking the following actions to prepare for and mitigate community transmission of COVID-19.
Residents Services and Association Administration
The BCCA Management Office is temporarily closed, but working remotely. If you have questions, please send an email to office@bayouclubcommunity.com or call 727-399-9672.
Future Meetings
We hold all of our scheduled Committee and Board meetings at the Bayou Club Clubhouse. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the Bayou Club Community Assocation to temporarily hold all meetings via Zoom. Once we feel that it is safe to resume in-person meetings, we will do so. As always, we will post all meeting notices inside the sign boards located on the side of the back gatehouse entrance, and also one located at the main gate exit. If you are interested in attending any meeting, please email your request to office@bayouclubcommunity.com and a Zoom meeting invitation will be emailed to you.
Your Responsibilities
Every individual needs to do their part to slow the spread of COVID-19. These are just some of the recommended actions you should take:
-
Only allow essential workers to your home.
-
Educate yourself and your family. Conditions are changing daily.
-
Avoid close contact with others, especially people who are sick. Keep a 6-foot zone of space around you. Avoid all group settings.
-
Cover your cough. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
-
Clean and disinfect frequently touched items.
-
Wash your hands often for 20 seconds every time. Use sanitizing gel when soap and water are not readily available.
-
Know the signs and symptoms of COVID-19. If you are showing symptoms, call your doctor before seeking testing and treatment. Stay home and self-quarantine if mildly ill.
-
Create a household plan in case of illness.
Going Forward
Conditions, concerns, and actions related to COVID-19 can change daily. BCCA will continue to monitor and update its actions accordingly. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. All other questions or concerns can be directed to office@bayouclubcommunity.com or 727-399-9672.
